Barahathawa Municipality
Barahathawa〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://kathmandupost.ekantipur.com/news/2015-09-19/govt-declares-26-new-municipalities.html )〕 is a municipality of Sarlahi District in Janakpur Zone of central Nepal. The municipality was established on 19 September 2015 by merging the existing Barahathawa, Murtiya, Hajariya and Laukat village development committees (VDCs).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=26 new Municipalities announced )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Govt announces 26 municipalities )〕 The center of the municipality is establish in former VDC Office of Barahathawa Bazaar. The Government announced additional 26 municipalities. With this announcement Barahathawa has been upgraded as one of the municipalities of Nepal, previously it was proposed municipality. Adjoining Barahathawa, Murtiya, Hajariya and Laukat VDC was merged with Barahathawa to upgrade it to the municipality.
